Sunday is the signature Hillcrest day—the Hillcrest Farmers Market runs from 9am to 2pm, followed by a free organ concert at Spreckels Pavilion in Balboa Park at 2pm. Weekday evenings are great for food specials and trivia, and Wednesday and Saturday nights feature popular drag shows at Urban MO’s.

Are there free things to do in Hillcrest?

Yes. The farmers market is free to browse every Sunday. Balboa Park offers free organ concerts on Sundays at 2pm year-round, free museum admission for San Diego County residents on rotating Tuesdays, and free Twilight in the Park concerts Tuesday through Thursday evenings in summer.
